Tukuche peak climbing detailed itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and hotel transfer

Soon after you land at the capital of Nepal, Kathmandu, you will meet our office staff who will drop you to the hotel and later clarify you about the Tukuche peak climbing. Rest and relax in the hotel.

Day 02: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara

After breakfast at the hotel, we travel from Kathmandu to Pokhara along the Prithvi Highway. Drive along the Trishuli River. Feel the zigzag hilly roads and the sounds of the flowing Trishuli River. After arriving at Pokhara, you will be greeted by a representative from Nature Lovers Treks and Tours and will help you for check-in at Pokhara hotel. In the evening, you can stroll around Phewa Lake and the local market in Pokhara.

Day 03: Fly from Pokhara to Jomsom and trek to Marpha

Today we take the early morning flight to Jomsom. After exploring Jomsom, we head toward Marpha, the Village of Orchards. We trek along the Annapurna Circuit Trails to get to Marpha. The village offers views of the moraines and high hills shielding back in the corner. You can also enjoy the famous local wine called Marpha (apple liquor). We spend a night in Marpha.

Day 04: Trek from Marpha to Yak Kharka

Today we trek to Yak Kharka from Marpha. We trek along the scattered vegetation and dry landscape to get to the village of Yak Kharka. The trek today is simple which takes about four to five hours walking through uphill. Yak Kharka confirms the correctness of its name, as this place is filled with Yak herders. Overnight in Yak Kharka.

Day 05: Acclimatization Day at Yak Kharka

We will spend the day acclimatizing to the climate and altitude of the Yak Kharka to be safe from the Altitude Sickness. Today we explore and hike around Yak Kharka. We will also have a chance to get conversant with the local Gurung culture and meet other trekkers hiking along the Annapurna Circuit Trek. While in Yak Kharka, we can set afoot on the cheese factory of the place which specializes in making yak cheese.

Day 06: Trek from Yak Kharka to Hidden Valley

Today's trek from Yak kharka to Hidden valley is quite difficult, which takes at least 8 hours. The initial path engraved by the Yaks which activates to more wilderness. Hike until we get up to the Thapa Pass and then after passing the trail, the trail ooze down towards the Hidden Valley.

Day 07: Trek from Hidden Valley to Tukuche Base Camp

Today we trek along the rocky dusty trails to get to the base of our destination. We will enjoy the shining lights off the snow along the Tukuche peak. After reaching Tukuche, we will set our base camp here. Overnight at tented camp in Tukuche.

Day 08: Acclimatization Day at Tukuche Base Camp

We will have our pre-climbing training for today. Our guides will teach us how to use the gears properly, how to breathe properly, and how to climb up and down with the help of a rope. We will also be planning for the upcoming climb.

Day 09-19: Climbing period [Base camp to Summit 6920m, down to Base camp], Overnight at Tented Camps

We will have ten days long climbing period. Leaving the Tukuche Base Camp, the climb will be followed by setting up Advance Base Camp (5100m). After that, we will set our Camp I at an elevation of 5600m for which our Sherpa guides will lend a hand. Moving further, we will reach Camp II at an altitude of 6100 and then the most significant day will be experienced as soon as we reach the summit of the Tukuche peak 6,920 m. After summiting the peak, get back to base camp again.

Day 20: Trek from Tukuche Base Camp to Hidden Valley

From the Tukuche Base Camp, it is an easy downhill trek back to the Hidden Valley. We can enjoy the walk back with the views of the Tukuche, Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and many other peaks en-route.

Day 21: Trek from Hidden Valley to Marpha

Today, we will climb up the Thapa Pass before crossing it; we descend again to get to the Yak Kharka. From Yak Kharka, it’s further steep descent leading finally to Marpha.

Day 22: Drive from Marpha to Pokhara

Today we will drive from Marpha to Pokhara, which takes approximately eight hours. Overnight at the hotel in Pokhara.

 Day 23: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu

After breakfast in the hotel at Pokhara, you will take the first hour bus ride to Kathmandu. It takes about seven to eight hours on the way back to Kathmandu. After doing the outstanding Tukuche peak climbing, we will bid you farewell through the farewell dinner.

Day 24: International departure to sweet home
