Lobuche east peak climbing is a wonderful adventure to the attractive summit which offers the spectacular views of the Everest alongside Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam and Pumori. Climbing Lobuche Peak 6119m is a bit tougher than climbing Island peak 6189m with more technical difficulties but equally providing the magnificent views.

Lobuche peak climbing has been combined with the classic Everest base camp trekking in this awesome 18 days adventure to the peak next to Khumbu glacier in Everest region. A great adventure for beginners and also for hardy mountaineers, Lobuche East climbing with Everest base camp starts and ends with Lukla flight and through the glacial moraines, Sherpa villages, monasteries and the footprints of the previous summiteers. Spring and Autumn seasons are the best time for climbing Lobuche East.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu, D, Hotel

Our team members will be waiting for you at Tribhuvan International Airport to welcome you with great love and care. He/she will shift you safely in a hotel where your welcome drinks will be served. Further, our team members will describe to you, all about our peak climbing plans.

Day 02: Preparation day with sightseeing tour, B, Hotel

Early in the morning after having a good breakfast your guide will guide you through the beautiful and historical places in Kathmandu valley. It is impossible to explore Kathmandu in one day, a guide will give you multiple options about the city area. You can make your choice. He will further prepare you for the climbing adventure.

Day 03: Fly to Lukla 2860m and trek to Phakding 2610m 4hrs, BLD, Teahouse

Today we take our flights towards Lukla in the morning. It takes approx 35 minutes to land on Lukla. Landing on Lukla airport may be one of your thrilling airplane landings. After reaching Lukla, we will start our trek towards Phakding, where we will spend our night.

Day 04: Trek to Namche Bazaar 3440m 5hrs, BLD, Teahouse

Early morning after having a good breakfast we start our trek towards Namche. We can witness Dudh Koshi River many times on our way. Moving forward, we enter Sagarmatha National Park and eventually reach Namche.

Day 05: Rest day at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization, BLD, Teahouse

Today we will spend our day in Namche to adjust ourselves with high altitude. Today we can witness eye-catching rewarding views of Himalayas with sunrise over Khumbu peaks. We can also trek to the Museum which celebrates the traditional customs of the Sherpa people. You can also visit Khumjung and Khongde village.

Day 06: Trek to Tengboche 3860m 5hrs, BLD, Teahouse

This day trail leads you upward towards Kyanjuma village which provides you amazing views of Mt. Everest, Mt. Ama Dablam. We can witness the famous Tengboche Monastery on our way. This is one of the famous monasteries of the Khumbu or Everest region.

Day 07: Trek to Dingboche 4410m 5hrs, BLD, Teahouse

Crossing the suspension bridge on Imja Khola we continue to walk. We now climb to Pangboche (3985m) small village which lies 3 kilometers northeast of Tengboche. We continue to walk crossing Pangboche until we reach Dingboche.

Day 08: Rest and acclimatize in Dingboche, BLD, Teahouse

Dingboche is a popular stop for trekkers and climbers. It is affected mainly by its altitude and monsoon in summer. For people who are willing to trek during the spring season (March and April) and autumn (October and November) are the ideal times, the visibility of the mountains remains ideal and the temperature is not very cold. 

Day 09: Trek to Lobuche 4940m 5hrs, BLD, Teahouse

Starting our day with a climb to Thugla through the Khumbu Valley we continue to trek along the arid terraces with eye-catching views of mountains on all sides. During our trek we can also witness the fabulous views of Mt. Pumori. We now trek up the steep terminal moraine of Khumbu Glacier.

Day 10: Trek to Gorakshep 5170m and to Everest Base Camp 5364m 6hrs, BLD, Teahouse

Today it’s going to be a little bit of a long walk than yesterday. So, we make an early start to Gorakshep and then to EBC or Everest Base Camp. Gorakshep is a frozen lake-bed covered with sands and also small settlement around. Once you reach Everest base camp, you can witness the beauty of Khumbu Icefall and the stunning panoramas of the soaring peaks.

Day 11: Trek to Kala Patthar 5545m and to Lobuche Base Camp 4940m 5hrs, BLD, Camp

We trek to Kala Patthar today. Once we reach the small rocky peak of Kala Patthar, we can enjoy the amazing panorama of Mount Everest, Nuptse and Lhotse including the Khumbu Glacier. Kala Patthar is one of the famous vantage points in the Khumbu region. After enjoying our views we will further move to Lobuche Base Camp where we will spend our night.

Day 12: Climb to Lobuche High Camp 5400m 4hrs, BLD, Camp

After having our breakfast, we start our walk from Lobuche Base Camp towards the Lobuche High Camp which takes approximately of four hours. We walk on a rocky moraine path to reach the high camp.

Day 13: Climb Lobuche Peak 6119m and to base camp 8hrs, BLD, Camp

Today is the most awaited day of our trek. Since we have to climb, we start early in the morning for the summit endeavor. Lobuche offers more panoramic views of mountains than other peaks. After enjoying the magnificent views from the summit we return to our base camp.

Day 14: Trek to Tengboche 5hrs, BLD, Teahouse

After having a glorious summit ascent, today we trek downhill from Lobuche Base Camp and join the Everest Base Camp route at Lobuche. After 5 hours of the walk, we will reach Tengboche where we will spend our night.

Day 15: Trek to Monjo 2835m 6hrs, BLD, Teahouse

Monjo lies in the north of Phakding and south of Jorsole, below Sagarmatha National Park entrance gate and checkpoint. We can find several guesthouses here. Since today is our last day in these trails, Monjo can be a good place to chill for a night.

Day 16: Trek to Lukla 4hrs, BLD, Teahouse

After having a thrilling experience in the mountains now it’s time to get back. Today early in the morning we will make our walk towards Lukla from Monjo. Lukla means a place with many goats and sheeps but these days hardly you can find them. 

Day 17: Fly back to Kathmandu, B, Hotel

Lukla is known as one of the most dangerous airports in the whole world. Today you will be taking off from the dangerous airport. You can enjoy the thrilling views of the mountains from the plane. Souvenir shopping can be done and relaxing in the spa and sauna can be the best treat for you.

Day 18: International departure, B, Flight
