  • Trek to the bottom of the “Roof of the world,” i.e., Mount Everest
  • Travel through the highest passes and glaciers
  • Follow the footsteps of the legendary summiteers
  • Explore and experience the Everest people, i.e., Sherpa’s lifestyles and cultures, their villages and century-old monasteries.
  • Daily fascinating views of the majestic mountains
  • The most classic trail that touches every part of the Solukhumbu region from Lower to Upper
  • Avoid the dangerous flight to Lukla and the scenic overland drive to the heart of Everest

The classic trail to Everest is a typical and original journey to Everest Base Camp via Jiri, which is the authentic way to enter into Solukhumbu region explored by the early explorers long before the flight started from/to Lukla. Comparatively less popular than opting for the flight to Lukla, Jiri to Everest base camp trekking lets you take the bus drive to Shivalaya first, and the trekking begins from there.

The classic trail to Everest leads you through impressive and attractive traditional Sherpa villages interwoven with Tibetan Buddhism religion and cultures. The journey continues with regular uphill and downhill through the scenic Lamjura La pass 3530m to enter the lovely village of Junbesi. The walks progress daily with a glimpse of Mt Everest en route to the higher Khumbu region and slowly head towards the famous Namche Bazaar. At Namche, we take a day's rest before going higher to Everest Base Camp. Famed Tengboche monastery follows shortly, eventually bringing us to the highest point of our adventure, Kala Patthar 5545, with alluring views of Mt Everest and the adjoining peaks at a stone-throw distance. After the victorious moment in and around Everest base camp, we will get back to Lukla slowly to fly back to Kathmandu.

Rarely visited by trekkers, this classic trail leading to the Everest base camp is mainly used by porters and load-carrying animals. More time-consuming than any other regular trekking in the Everest region, the classic Everest trail is loved by all other Everest fanatics who wish to explore more in the Solukhumbu or Lower Khumbu region. It is also recommended to those who hate flying to Lukla because of the uncertainty of the flight time. More importantly, classic trekking to Everest can be done at any time of the year except during freezing times in winter.

Our guide knows the local areas, the cultures, the traditions and the lifestyles much more than anyone do. Some of the things he tells you, might even be hard to find in the travel guide books. Solo traveling in the Himalayas

We have had many solo travelers in the past. Nepal is totally safe to travel even in the Himalayas, even though you are solo. No matter if you're a solo female or a male traveler, you can hike in the Himalayas doubtlessly, with our experienced guide.

Extra personal expenses during and after trek

The clients are responsible for their own personal expenses during or after the treks like, for buying beverages and snacks, WiFi, doing laundry, buying souvenirs & personal equipment, tips for the field staffs, etc. Therefore, we recommend you to bring some extra cash (in dollars or euro, etc.) of about $400-500, and change it into Nepali Rupees since only NPR are accepted in majority of the Nepali market.

Shower during the trek

It's an important matter to discuss about. After a day's end, you might feel like showering and get fresh. It's a good idea on the lower altitudes but if you're on the higher altitudes (more than 3500m), we recommend to shower on intervals. People seem to catch a cold easily after showering which can lead to altitude sickness. Teahouses in the lower elevation offers you hot shower, but in the upper elevation, a bucket of hot water is provided. They charge a little extra for the hot water bath ($3-5).

Laundry on the trail

There are some teahouses which offer laundry services and you can use their service during the acclimatizing days. However, most of the lodges don't have laundry service and you might have to either wash your clothes yourself or postpone until you arrive in Kathmandu. Please plan in advance about it.

Your safety

Nature Lovers Treks and Tours puts your safety as the top priority. We provide you our own comprehensive first aid medical kit bag along with the professional team of guides and porters. We are always in communication with our field team members to keep track of your safety and concerns.
